The United States Supreme Court refused to grant a delay in the execution of Aubrey Dennis Adams last week. Adams stands convicted of killing eight year old Trisa Gail Thornley in 1978. It is said that Adams was acquainted with the young girl's family, and was responsible for making an "obscene" phone call to her family after kidnapping and killing her. Thornley was found dead in a wooded area on March 15, 1978. Adams' attorneys are filing for an appeal on the grounds that they believe the jury was not picked properly, and was biased as an effect.
